What is the Blue Envelope?

It's a simple way to let an officer know you may have a disability that affects how you communicate. You keep your documents and a short note in a blue envelope, so an officer knows what to expect right away. Read more on the home page.

Is my information private?

Yes. Everything you enter stays on your own phone. It's never uploaded, and we can't see it. There's no account and no login. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I print my envelope and card?

Fill in your details in the app, then use the Print option to create a ready-to-print Blue Envelope note and wallet card. You can print at home or anywhere that offers printing, such as a library.

Does the app cost anything?

No. The app is completely free, with no ads and no subscriptions.

Will police recognize the Blue Envelope?

Many police agencies run Blue Envelope programs, but they are local and vary by area. Some recognize a physical envelope you get from a participating agency. This app helps you prepare and carry your information; where an official program exists near you, get the physical envelope from that agency.

How do I get the window stickers?
